Workshop 10: AI, Deepfakes, and Emerging Forms of Cyber-Violence

Workshop 10
AI, Deepfakes, and Emerging Forms of Cyber-Violence

This workshop explores how artificial intelligence can change the nature of cyber-violence. Learners examine how AI can be used to create fake screenshots, voice notes, images, memes or impersonations that affect a person’s identity, reputation and safety.

The workshop supports learners understanding what AI can add to harmful online behaviour: speed, realism, impersonation, deniability, wider circulation and loss of control.

As the final workshop in the programme, the session brings together previous themes. It gives learners space to reflect on emerging forms of cyber-violence.
